Exclusive Shocking Information About Your Wicomico County Board of Education

Click on these images to enlarge.

This is exactly what I mean when I say, Fredericksen is absolutely CLUELESS on how to run the Board of Education. That's right, FIRE the people who were instructed to follow the Supervisors orders and do NOTHING to the Supervisors.

If it wasn't for Salisbury News, (the Blog) none of you would know any of this is happening. Funny how we've not only delivered documented evidence about something VERY important to ALL parents, yet it has not been exposed in the rest of the media.

The Eastern Shore is about as crooked as I've ever seen. Damn that Joe Albero for exposing the TRUTH so often. We were perfectly fine before that guy came along! Yeah, raw sewage was leaking into the river from the WWTP. Millions of gallons of untreated water was being pumped into the river at the same WWTP. Nasty, disgusting food is being served to your CHILDREN and because I've exposed it, Joe Albero is the Anti Christ.

Then there's the Chamber of Commerce who is so upset with me because stories and evidence like this gets exposed and Salisbury News is HURTING Salisbury and Wicomico County. God Forbid someone is actually held accountable for THEIR actions.

I could go on and on with the incredible things we have exposed over the past 10 years but I think you pretty much get my drift here. YOU need to hold your local media accountable as well. WHY do they not give a crap about stories like this?

Yeah, just take the food that's about to ROT, pull it out of the package, wash it thoroughly and REPACKAGE it while placing it back with the fresh products. To ALL of the local restaurant owners here on the shore, what would happen to you if the Health Department caught YOU doing the same!

If I were you, I'd start packing a HEALTHY lunch each and every day for your children from this point forward because even AFTER these people have been exposed, they just want to HIDE it, repackage it and put it back on the shelf so that nasty Joe Albero can't expose us any more.

Last but not least, WHERE'S THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT ON ALL OF THIS? We have delivered documented evidence of clear and blatant violations. I think YOU deserve to know what they're doing to protect innocent little children.

According to my Son, this has been going on for years. That's why we pack a lunch for him each day since he has been in elementary school. He is now a senior and can't wait to get out of the institutional prison that is the public school system.

This is SICK!!

It is my understanding that they just recently gave Eric Goslee a big promotion. John Fredericksen changed his title from Supervisor to Director just because he was black. They made this a new position, but they didn't advertise it and allow anyone else with more education and experience to apply for this position. Along with that big promotion came a lot more money. Please tell me where the Board of Education found that money from? Another employee making $100,000 plus. If they did this to a white person the media would have been all over this crying racism. More of the Board of Education raping the tax payers. But it's Ok, "It's for the Children!!"

Let's rinse off the bacteria infested food and put it back into the nasty containers and give rinsed off bacteria infested food to our children. After all we know best, "It's for the Children!!"

Since he sent that memo out on 3/16/2015 he has done this since he was promoted from Supervisor to Director. He needs to be fired for this and so does Dr. John Fredericksen.

Anonymous said...

Moisture promotes bacteria, so what their doing is inviting food poisoning. Thats why its against the law to repackage. Shows the director dosent have a clue and food safety. Heads at the top should really roll for this!

How would your son know this. You son is a child and the courts won't put a child on the stand so where's the credibility here? We need credibility not a senior in high school telling us some hearsay.

Anonymous said...

So True 8:01....so very true!!! Joe is right. Raw sewage leaking in our community. This community is so corrupt!! From the Sheriff on down!!! Dirty politics and abuse of power!!! Judges are dirty too!!

Anonymous said...

You're wrong, the courts will put a child on the stand.

However, the lady that was escorted out should be immediately reinstated since this evidence has come to light. She did as instructed by her supervisor. The person that should be removed is her supervisor and Frederickson.

Anonymous said...

Do the schools have to allow parents that want to see first hand whats going on access to the school during their childs lunch period?

Anonymous said...

There really should be legal charges made on everyone that approved this directive x how ever many students could have injected this purposeful food poisoning attempt.

Anonymous said...

Anyone who has the means can explore other education options. The public school system is not the only way to go.Home schooling or private schools might be better options if for any reason you think your children are in danger of being poisoned or under educated.

Anonymous said...

I'm confused. Did someone lose their job over this? If so, it appears as if someone is attempting to teach Sby News a lesson as the expense of someone's livelihood. This has the potential to backfire on them 2 and 3 fold.

Steve said...

817, we all pay the BOE through our taxes to educate the children of the community and make lunches available for sale to them. Taking my children out of this system and paying in one way or another a completely outside system does not relieve me of my tax money I must pay for the truly corrupt institution the BOE runs. The BOE is over ONE HALF of our tax bills.

Why on earth should anyone have to pay double just because they want their children to have a safe, proper and interesting education?

Anonymous said...

but hey, it is all for the kids remember????

Maybe now you dumb-ass people will wake the f' up and know that the phrase "it is for the kids" is no different than "it is for your safety"...

Do you feel any safer for the freedoms you gave up? Look at all the money they steal form you in the name of kids, and they can't even keep fresh foods...

MAYBE THAT SHOULD TELL YOU HOW STUPID YOU ARE for believing others with no evidence that they are not criminals themselves or out to hurt people, because this is clearly a situation where they deliberately are trying to hurt kids in the name of money...

How is that new school treating you? is your kid smarter now for it???

And to answer the persons letter... The reason why the women got fired was because ti is collateral damage to preserve the directors name... Clearly he is in charge, clearly they ave to inspect the foods, so he told them to serve it bad anyway and just fired someone because that is all you will ever demand from someone...

Just like with he IRS and the like, just get fired or put into a new positions and you all forget it even happened, like knuckleheads you all are...

I have been telling you all, over and over about stuff like this but no, i AM A CONSPIRATOR FREAK, well riddle me this batman, if you can see it, feel it and you are living it? where is the conspiracy? that is called reality, which you people are not in...

Anonymous said...

Who ever told you they won't put a child on the stand? They put children on the stand all the time. I'll admit that certain considerations are made prior to putting children on the stand only to prevent them from re-living bad experiences. Children recognize truth and know right from wrong. It's done every day across the country.

8:17 said, "Anyone who has the means can explore other education options."

Yes, anyone who has the means can. All those who don't have the "means" to pay twice get undereducated and exposed to food poisoning.

What a novel approach you have, dirtbag!

Anonymous said...

Remember the WCBOE audit results when it was determined some were paid well above their earned position on the salary scale? This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Anonymous said...

Goslee and Frederickson need to be FIRED, TODAY, not tomorrow or next week or whenever, TODAY!!!

Anonymous said...

Move to a better school district.

Anonymous said...

Instead of complaining on the blog phone calls need to be made to the Board of Ed and the County health department. Demand the health department make surprise inspections of all cafeterias during the lunch period. Inspect the foods, condiments, drinks, everything being served to the kids. Demand action. We're all paying for quality in our schools, not just new buildings and ball fields. What's more important, unspoiled foods or new buildings for our kids? Do you feed your kids outdated foods at home? I think not.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know the lady's name or the school from where she was escorted? I'd like to call the board and the school and demand she be reinstated. She worked for a minimal wage while her superiors are sitting in the ivory tower without reprecussions. This is wrong on so many levels and needs to be rectified immediately.

JoeAlbero said...

8:44, You'd have to move to the Delmar district because from what we already know this is happening in multiple schools in Wicomico County.

Anonymous said...

Or move off the shore. There is nothing there anymore but fast food joints and perdue.

Anonymous said...

I know for a fact that the little guy at the BOE will get the blame regardless. This lady should not have been fired. The cafeteria workers at the BOE are some of the hardest workers there. And with very little respect.

Anonymous said...

I wonder if this is a common practice at all school sloprooms...er..."cafeterias".

Probably not at the Sidney Friends School though.

Anonymous said...

Now we know why Freddy and his crew eat all those meals at high dollar resturants.

Anonymous said...

8:49-And Delmar Elementary is in Wicomico County. That being said, how many schools comprise the Delmar School "District"?

Anonymous said...

Joe, Have you spoken to or interviewed the fired lunch lady?

If she was fired for following orders, she should sue the BOE? Additionally, she should offer her story to every media outlet within 200 miles of here. A big stink needs to be raised about serving rotten food to the kids. Enough attention focused on this matter and heads will roll.

JoeAlbero said...

9:38, She needs to speak to her attorney first. I will NOT use her unfortunate situation to my advantage. IF her lawyer says go ahead and speak to me, fine.

JoeAlbero said...

I'll add, the images above need to get to Michelle Obama. I'd LOVE to see what SHE has to say about the Wicomico County Board of Education.

Anonymous said...

The lowest on the totem pole are usually the sacrificial lambs and the first to go.She definately needs to get the go ahead to talk to you.If she does not contact you pre litigation and she loses her case, she REALLY needs to talk to you.At that point she will have zero to lose.

JoeAlbero said...

Remember Ladies & Gentlemen, EVERY ONE OF YOU pay at least 50% of your taxes towards the Board of Education. It doesn't matter if you have a child in school or not, you have a vested interest in this situation. YOU have every right to call and complain. Even if you pay rent, a portion of your rent goes to pay the taxes for that location.

Our restaurants are certified by going to wor wic and taking a course called SERVSAFE Certification. I'll bet our new Director has ever taken this class or any other. We are also required to attend at the Wicomico Health Department a class on Temperatures/cross contamination and many more items. I'll bet no one has been sent for this training. These people are serving more people than any restaurant.

Anonymous said...

People, take your health into your own consideration. No everyone does what they are supposed to. Others do what they are directed to do (to keep their job) and then they are fired. This is terrible. Maybe they need to placed Goslee in that lunch line for a couple of weeks with her pay and see how he likes it. He should be fired all she did was follow HIS orders. Come on people this is something to BOYCOTT!

Anonymous said...

The more knowledge that come from just telling the truth, the sicker I get. So tired of Frederickson and Willey. So true to all the above...their famous line "all for the children"...such dishonesty should NEVER be allowed. Wicomico County ...so embarassing to live here!

Anonymous said...

I know it is common at Salisbury Middle. Maybe not now that this has been exposed.

Anonymous said...

I have to agree with the comment about "lunch ladies". They do know children's names and truely care about their well beings. I've experienced this personally myself! Shame that someone doing what they were told gets "fired for this". But, looking over the whole case, it makes sense. Eliminate the evidence...(that is what WCBOE is doing) getting rid of people doing exactly what they were told to do! God awful!!!! The whole scenario is so SHAMEFUL!!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

People should know that WCBOE is not the "last stop" for anything to be done. There is a "Maryland Superintendent of Schools". Can be find easily and contact them about all the mishaps/troubles with Wicomico County Board of Education. They oversee all schools. Contact them with your complaints: Annapolis, 1-877-634-6361.

Oh let me guess-We're dealing with a bunch of democrats here. It's obvious. Instead of taking responsibility they pass the buck. Just like the IRS scandal was blamed on some low level IRS employees in Cincinnati.
Time for all to face the facts-democrats haven't an honest bone in their bodies. They are incompetents who when caught haven't the decency to take responsibility. A lot of the trash was taken out last election. Do all you can to see that the rest of the trash is removed. It will take time for the GOP to completely remove the stench the democrats have left behind but they are capable.

Anonymous said...

well honestly she should have sent it up in writing then hung the bastard when he told her to do it!
This is so wrong but she should never have agreed to do such a terrible thing. Then let them fire her. She would have had one hell of a case!

Anonymous said...

12:18 while I agree with you, I also disagree. We don't know the lady's circumstances. She may have needed this job, it may be her sole income. Jobs are hard to come by these days and most cafeteria workers are up in age. The board should do the right thing and reinstate her immediately. She was following orders.

Delmar School District, elementary is in Wicomico County and the whole delmar school district is under the guide of Wicomico County, so what good would be going to Delmar do? Get the health department involved, get the Department of Agriculture, which guides the food and nutrition. Get the Department of Education involved.

I don't know about the schools here in Wicomico, but the local restaurant that I work at hasn't had a health department inspection in 18 months. The place is old and being allowed to fall into despair, just because equipment is old doesn't mean it still shouldn't be cleaned. Nothing but lazy.

Dear Readers,

As I am just getting to this post, and it was indeed quite disheartening to read this with regard to an employee of the school system complying with the directives of a senior supervisor, and then being terminated for it. I will share this - I have personally noted the service and dedication of the staff that serves meals to children. Never during my tenor have I experienced cafeteria staff (and I have worked 17 of the 24 schools) that has been anything less than caring and compassionate towards students - frankly, I have known quite a few students that have looked forward to meals solely for the kind words and mannerisms they display that provide a smile and a reflection on them as persons. However, ordering staff to comply with something that is certainly in direct violation of health ordnances is both dangerous and ridiculously out of bounds. Folks, this is not the prevue of school administrative staff as they have no direction over this - the "gentleman" in charge is where the focus of discussion needs to be.

Forget the state superintendent - go directly to the health department in this matter - they have direct control over this and file reports that reflect the status of this. Unfortunately, most times we knew as school administration (directed by central office) that health officers would be coming to inspect things. Under Maryland law, they are NOT REQUIRED to notify anyone about their inspections beyond the monthly reports - the health department may conduct inspections at any time. Please do not take this to be some sort of massive cover up - I have know the health department to be very professional and forthright in my dealings with them - should they conduct unannounced inspections would do nothing more than to further uncover the travesty of this, and given the fact that email directives are available, would certainly undermine the veracity of the statements made.

Regards,

Paladin

LOL-What rock of cluelessness are you living under? The US public school systems are master manipulators and purveyors of propaganda. Brainwashing is the ultimate goal and educating comes very near the end if at all. Most of the teachers don't even realize how they are being used to turn the children into robots-all thinking and acting the same way, no diversity whatsoever.
Please please please do yourself a huge favor and get out and see how it works in the real U S of A before you make anymore foolish uninformed comments. It would benefit you immensely and esp benefit any children you may have.
So sorry if I come across as a know it all elitist but it's high time someone told you people how it really is and not how you were brainwashed into thinking it is.

No, they just want to feed them sour cream that is outdated by 2 months and past due apples and carrots that they are told to rinse and repackage.

Anonymous said...

Maryland School System. They will investigate and even find more on Frederickson. Trust me!!!! Start there!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Frederickson and WCBOE have an arrogance and entitlement attitude that is quite revolting. Frederickson and the WCBOE continue to be allowed to go unchecked or audited, much like our president "Obama". Behind closed doors I believe he is laughing and celebrating the fact he is untouchable. The parents of the children who attend the area schools been fooled. Much like a politician Frederickson says the things he believes will have the most impact; regardless of truth or fiscal responsiblility. ALL people who work under Frederickson should fear being blamed for ALL of his poor decisions. The Food service department have some of the most dedicated and hardest working employees in the WCBOE. Frederickson and his leadership will pass the buck and blame these policies on the workers. This shows the calibre of person the runs our WCBOE.

Anonymous said...

It could be argued that the short memo is just poorly written and meant to say something more like this:

Rotate your stock and bring older use-by dates forward and serve them before their date.
Take items out of package, rinse, and put into containers ready for addition at the serving line.

As the language of the original doesn't speak specifically to out-of-date food, could this be mistakenly construed by an employee that that food should be served? The language is kind of loose.

Anonymous said...

Concerned parents and Wicomico residents needs to take this straight to the Honorable Governor Larry Hogan's office. This is what Ireton says to do since Governor Hogan is A Boss and knows how to handle things and get things done. The republicans believe in responsibility and won't take kindly to a lower level employee becoming a scapegoat. That kind of stuff happens on a regular basis under a democrat's watch, but won't happen under A REAL Boss's watch.

Anonymous said...

How about some sanity:

Source - WebMD Archive

You open the fridge, drag out the cottage cheese, check for fur, and if there isn't any, you say, "Honey? Will you sniff this?" This is not, however, the approved method of checking for freshness. The approved way lies in a voluntary system of labeling.

Yes, voluntary. The only items required by federal law to be labeled for expiration are infant formula and some baby foods; some states also mandate pulling dairy from store shelves on the expiration date.

Anonymous said...

Such Ado About Nothing!

Is dating required by federal law?

Except for infant formula (see below), product dating is not generally required by Federal regulations. However, if a calendar date is used, it must express both the month and day of the month (and the year, in the case of shelf-stable and frozen products). If a calendar date is shown, immediately adjacent to the date must be a phrase explaining the meaning of that date such as "sell-by" or "use before."

There is no uniform or universally accepted system used for food dating in the United States. Although dating of some foods is required by more than 20 states, there are areas of the country where much of the food supply has some type of open date and other areas where almost no food is dated.

Anonymous said...

Exactly! Take cheese out of fridge, scrape some mold off with knife, slice and eat.

Anonymous said...

I will give you that one. Is no excuse to serve out of date sour cream but still eating food that is not out of date isn't a problem. Throwing it away is just wasteful.

Anonymous said...

Do any of you have facts to prove that anyone has actually been fired? Just curious.

I agree that the director absolutely should shoulder some or all of the blame here, as he is the cafeteria manager's supervisor. However, serving packaged sour cream well past the expiration date is gross neglect on the part of the cafeteria manager, who clearly either doesn't check and rotate stock or who clearly doesn't care. Milk is often out of date in the schools as well.

Anonymous said...

Do you think it seriously means to put it back in its regular package? It means rinse and put in bowls or containers to serve. It happens everywhere and is ok if it's not out of date.

Anonymous said...

I think it already has. Sbynews.com.

Anonymous said...

With all due respect, I know for a fact that the health dept made unannounced inspections in schools just 2 weeks ago. At my school, there were no issues and we got rave remarks.

Liar! If you go through your fridge and cabinets, I am sure you are guilty. Many products are fine to eat after their sell by date. Sour cream, yuck but I am sure this is an isolated mistake.

We shouldn't have to, but that is what I am doing. I was absolutely appalled at what went on when I went to sign my son up for kindergarten. I withdrew him from public school as soon as I had him signed up for private school. I made numerous phone calls to the board of education regarding the unsafe health conditions (bloodborne pathogen control). And the office staff was allowing people to sign children out without checking IDs. There was no way I was going to send my child to a school that had that many safety issues in the short amount of time I was there. It is an enormous financial burden that I wasn't planning on, but my son's safety is my top priority and I can't trust the Wicomico County school system to provide a safe environment.

Anonymous said...

This whole debacle makes my head spin! I keep thinking how sad, incredibly sad, it is that someone lost their job over this. I work at SMS and have day to day interactions with the cafeteria staff-if the public were aware of the ridiculously stringent rules public schools must follow regarding food services, maybe some oponions would sway. Reading these rants is heartbreaking. SO, so, so, so much more to worry about and be concerned with than all of this...now one less person without a job.

Hey, I have an idea- can we start posting pics to your blog Joe, showing how parents send their kids to school (no supplies, no warm clothes, backpack, etc)?? How about when they send their kids to school without money in their lunch account BUT we can not serve them an "extra lunch" bc all extras HAVE to be thrown away per MSDE rules! (When you call the BOE, be sure to ask about ALL the food that must get thrown away daily, and and for the various reasons-your mind will be blown!) We can also take pics of the the kind caring staff members that give their lunch to these students, or do whatever it takes to make sure these young people are fed....its so sad.

We need a blog that UNITES the community-schools, parents, teachers--and MOST IMPORTANTLY tax payers (sorry, im trying not be cynical)....this garbage is ruining lives. Im sure this will just be another post that will get filtered, but there are 2 sides to every story-not how one person sees "it" but the other side that rarely makes it on this blog.

Anonymous said...

7:35, instead of being called "yuppies," these parents deserve to be known as "those who actually pay for their kids' lunches." They also pay taxes, make their children behave respectfully and value education. Lots to make fun of there.

Anonymous said...

And if they did from the support Union (not the teachers union) they're useless for most of us. Some "groups" get the velvet glove treatment and fierce representation. Enough said.

There you go. If all else fails let's try and create a race discourse. You're pathetic.

Anonymous said...

So you're saying if a child doesn't have lunch money they don't get anything to eat? Really? Cause taxpayers spend a lot of money on school lunches and also breakfast.

Anonymous said...

it's true thought about the fact that if you don't have lunch money, you don't eat!! So very true. My daughter forgot hers at Westside Intermediate, and she was given 1 piece of bread and told to use the water fountain for the bevarage. WE, as parents were outraged. People in prison ate better than my daughter. Just forgot her lunch money! She didn't owe anything etc etc. Awful!

Anonymous said...

9:48 pm So true, all of what you said. Parents are sending kids to school with absolutely nothing. They expect schools to raise and feed their children!

Anonymous said...

What was the outcome? As a concerned parent I am sure you contacted the school to complain. Just curious.

Anonymous said...

Just to be clear, Delmar Elementary falls under Wicomico County Public Schools. Delmar Middle and Delmar High Schools fall under the Delmar School District. I can almost guarantee with 100% certainty that Terri Addlesberger would never allow that in her kitchen.

Anonymous said...

Your failed attempt at a story is not true. It's a shame you feel the need to lie to include yourself in a discussion.

Anonymous said...

Nope. If they do not qualify for free or reduced meals they go hungry...personally, I will not allow this to happen with my small group of students, but its an unfortunate truth. Most teachers do not know that a kid doesn't have money on their lunch account because there isn't a list that circulates. Im fortunate to work with a very small number of students and can monitor much closer...just today, after 2 days with one of my students having ZERO on their account, I put $5 on his account (this was done anonymously). He doesnt qualify for FARMS and he needs to eat to take his meds so I decided to do it...next time DSS will be called-but my point is, soooo much goes on behind the scenes regarding the entire food service system. I could go on forever about this. Teachers have so much more on their plates (no pun intended) than the community perceives...
And for the record, fresh food leftovers from breakfast and lunch CAN NOT be given to the aforementioned children.

Anonymous said...

I know for a fact that no elementary school child in Wicomico County is ever denied lunch, whether they have money on their account or not. If they already owe too much money, they won't get the regular platter, but they are given a cheese sandwich.

Anonymous said...

I added a question that was not accepted by this blog, but I'm going to try again...

Does anyone know for a fact that anyone in a Wicomico County school cafeteria was fired? I think there's a lot of hearsay being shared.

Anonymous said...

I work in food service and I know for a fact that its not Mr. Goslee's fault. He's not aware of what's going on in these kitchens. The managers need to be held accountable. They are the ones that tell the workers to serve the food even though its out dated. Now their butts are scared up to their necks!

Anonymous said...

4:34 a.m. - Well, there's one major problem right there...WHY is Mr. Goslee unaware of what goes on in the school kitchens??? They are HIS responsibility!

concerning this blog, yes a food service manager was relieved of her duties and escorted out of the building now mr goslee and the wcboe is trying to cover their own mistakes she was just following her superiors memos sent out other managers were upset at the memo but were afaid to speak out because of repercussions from the boe her immediate boss has already stated that she will not get her managers position back, even if she is reinstated what a waste of talent and dedication to her students another thing to consider with the boe is the equipment that some mangers have to work with some never working properly since their installation and not repaired on warrenty, others just not having proper maintenance on them also equipment setting in the warehouse that should have been delivered months ago there is no accountibilty in the boe just them following the"good old boys" mentality
