Hey Joe… have you driven down Beaglin Park Drive lately? There are MAJOR potholes in the road/bridge that crosses the Shumaker Dam spillway. People need to avoid this area!!
There’s something else that I’ve noticed around town. When the snow is “plowed” it throws gravel and road grim onto the sidewalks. And there’s A LOT of it! Just look around. It looks terrible and presents a walking hazard almost as bad as the snow does. I guess the City of Salisbury will put forth another ordinance to ensure this will be cleared by the property owner even though they didn’t put it there. What a joke.

Some of the potholes have been filled really badly, too. The filler is mounded up to make a bump instead of being smoothed down. Now we have a choice: hit a hole or hit a bump.
Good quality roads cost money. Don't want to pay for them? Don't expect them.
Public. Sector. Workers. Enough said.
I throw it back into the road. They can clean it up.
I'm sure Ms. Ireton will do her best to see that this is done just like she has curtailed crime in Salisbury!
4:15 - Wicomico County/Salisbury homeowners are already paying taxes through the nose. Salisbury is among the highest taxed cities in Maryland. What more do you want?!
I live in Fruitland near the ball fields and numerous people who live here including myself have called to report the potholes. About once a week or two they cone out and put stones and dirt in the potholes a and then back their truck over it to 'pack' it down. It's completely ruined within 2 days or the first rain. Brown street in Fruitland is entirely too narrow to begin with considering all the traffic and now the potholes. I called again yesterday to let them know that it was eating my concrete driveway away and I am not happy. Of course... no phone call back. Joe, if you can help my neighbors and me in any way get this fixed or possibly make a post about S. Brown street... we would greatly appreciate it!!!
Yes, Fruitland roads are awful. And for all the taxes we pay, you would think they could fix the roads. (instead of buying new police cars)
Fruitland is a failure because of Ric Pollup and Dick Konrad.
Just go ahead and keep driving over those bridges, folks. They are pretty safe still. Well as far as we know, I mean even if the roadway gave in totally, it's just a 15 foot fall!
What, can't you take that?
Woosies!
4:15, I expect good roads and I certainly pay for them. We employ people to represent us and manage our tax money appropriately. If the government was a private company, people would be fired. I expect my streets safe, schools good, roads reasonable for travel without damage to my car and the helpless of the community helped. I pay enough to expect that and we certainly do not need more taxes.
