- THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WAKEFIELD HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR A WINTERY MIX OF PRECIPITATION WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON.
- * AREAS AFFECTED: EASTERN SHORE OF VIRGINIA AND MARYLAND.
- * HAZARDS: SNOW AND SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN.
- * ACCUMULATIONS: GENERALLY LESS THAN 1 INCH OF SNOW AND SLEET... BUT THE SLEET WILL COMBINE WITH FREEZING RAIN TO PRODUCE A THIN COATING OF ICING ON ROADS AND ELEVATED SURFACES.
- * TEMPERATURES: 28 TO 33 DEGREES.
- * WINDS: NORTH 10 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 20 MPH.
- * TIMING: THROUGH MIDDAY TODAY.
