Former CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson has sued the Justice Department over the hacking of her computers, officially accusing the Obama administration of illegal surveillance while she was reporting on administration scandals.
In a series of legal filings that seek $35 million in damages, Attkisson alleges that three separate computer forensic exams showed that hackers used sophisticated methods to surreptitiously monitor her work between 2011 and 2013.
"I just think it's important to send a message that people shouldn't be victimized and throw up their hands and think there's nothing they can do and they're powerless," Attkisson said in an interview.
The department has steadfastly denied any involvement in the hacking, saying in a 2013 statement: "To our knowledge, the Justice Department has never compromised Ms. Attkisson's computers, or otherwise sought any information from or concerning any telephone, computer, or other media device she may own or use."

They (the Justice Dept) can honestly say that....
They KNOW it wasn't them --- it was the NSA.
But computer piracy and hacking? The NSA is IMMUNE from ANY prosecution -- they can come right out and say "yeah, not only did we hack her computer, we've been hacking EVERYONE'S computer for years, including the President's computer!"
I wonder how many of you brainless "if you're not doing anything wrong, don't worry" goofs really believe that one day, someone in government will say "OK, we' done enough. We're safe. We can now stop all this surveillance, photography, and listening."
They will never stop. It will get better, more invasive, more technical. That's the nature of science.
So, keep cheering.
You are unwittingly cheering your demise and the demise of liberty.
Don't let that stop you...the government LOVES "goot ci-di-zens" like you. Because you are SO easily led and manipulated.

Sharyl is fighting city hall so to speak.Conflicts of interests are everywhere and the odds are overwhelmingly against her.Kudos to her for doing what she thinks is right.She has far more courage than I would have.
