ANNAPOLIS, MD – January 13, 2015 – Governor-elect Larry Hogan announced one Cabinet appointee and six senior officials during a press conference today in Annapolis.
"Today I am pleased to name an additional Cabinet-level appointment and several top senior level administration appointments," Hogan said. "I believe each of these individuals brings a unique perspective to our administration and I am honored that they have joined me in this effort."
Governor-elect Hogan announced Pete Rahn as Secretary of Transportation. Rahn served as Cabinet secretary for the New Mexico State Highway and Transportation Department from 1995 to 2002 and led the Missouri State Department of Transportation from 2004 to 2010.
The governor-elect also announced Tim Hutchins as Director of Homeland Security, Senator Christopher Shank as Director of the Governor's Office of Crime Control and Prevention, Steve McAdams as Executive Director of the Governor's Office of Community Initiatives, Arlene Lee as Executive Director of the Governor's Office for Children, Bob Scholz as Governor's Counsel, Delegate Keiffer Mitchell as Special Adviser to the Governor, and Delegate Jeannie Haddaway-Riccio as Director of Intergovernmental Services.
All the appointees announced today, as well as most of the governor-elect's previous appointees, have experience in both the public and private sectors, criteria that the governor-elect has explained will help administration officials better serve the people of Maryland.

What's the difference between a director of intergovernment services and a public info officer. Sounds like a big waste of taxpayers' bucks.
