Princess Anne Police Department
There was a report of an odor of gas in the area of Rt. 13 and Mt. Vernon Rd. this morning, called in by motorists. Further investigation determined that the odor stretches from Mt. Vernon Rd. to Stewart Neck Rd. As a precaution, elementary schools have been evacuated to Washington High School until the source can be determined. Fire Departments and Gas Companies are on the scene looking for the source.

Ate too many beans....Sorry Yall...
There was a reported gas leak over a year ago on Phillips Ave and they claimed to have found nothing.
If you stood in the street you could smell it.
Eventually it got so bad the neighborhood was evacuated and now they are replacing the gas lines.
It was an explosion waiting to happen.
Hope they handle this one better than they did in our neighborhood
