[CHARLES CITY] Detectives in Charles City County and New Kent County who helped track down abduction suspect Delvin Barnes in Maryland late Wednesday described a horrific crime scene in Virginia.
Speaking to reporters in a midday press conference today, the officers said that Barnes threatened a 16-year-old juvenile he'd abducted, burning her clothes as she watched in horror and after being doused in gasoline at the suspect's Charles City trailer home near Roxbury.
As the victim looked on, Barnes began digging a hole in the yard, suggesting that his victim would be buried there, said Charles City sheriff's Captain Jayson Crawley.
After being held for about two days, the victim turned up at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 3, naked and bleeding, after making her way along Roxbury Road 3 miles to a building supply company.

This is what a steady diet of "Criminal Minds" and other crime scene depiction television programs are bringing into our homes and society. The eyes are your window on the world and capture content in the heart and soul. Is it any wonder that a steady diet of violence and sub human behavior is now being reenacted in real time society? Sure..many will argue that they can turn these programs off... but there is a segment of society (growing larger with every tv season) that cannot turn the tv off and DON'T WANT to turn the tv off. These sick minds feast on the images of gore and sadistic crime and play them in their minds over and over until they eventually reenact this behavior to satisfy their growing thirst for more. Each new program that comes out that is more sadistic than the last is feeding the sick minds of people unable to distinguish fantasy from reality. The shows become more and more graphic and realistic to the point that there is no distinction in their minds between the two.
fantasy becomes their new reality.
that goes for the real news regarding beheading as well. I don't feel they should be shown.
