Baltimore’s port is a gateway to the city, a massive destination for goods worth millions and an open door for illegal or dangerous cargo.
This week, Maryland State Troopers spearheaded a three-day sting with Homeland Security and several other police agencies just to see what’s coming in and out of Baltimore.

A sting operation of that size and cost to net one arrest of a "fugitive" from Virginia?
I notice they didn't disclose why that person was a fugitive.
Maybe it was for attending a Tea Party rally.
sounds like it didn't produce much... or they would be bragging about the tonnage they brought down.
This exercise cost millions to conduct not to mention the unbelievable inconvienience and down time for the truckers. I have seen these guys (and ladies) shut down the trucks for a mere non working light bulb on the top side of the trailer. We were once held for four hours on the side of the road until we could locate and replace a back-up bulb. Wonder why shipping costs are high?
Always make the trucker the fall guy. Go after the shipper and the port for handling illegal freight. No wait they would hire lawyers. Never mind.
