WASHINGTON --The doorbell rings, and there is a firefighter delivering a hot oven pizza on the front stoop, asking to see your smoke alarm. No, it's not "Candid Camera." But if there is a working smoke alarm in the house, that pizza is free.
In the spirit of Fire Prevention Week, the Prince George's County Fire/Emergency Medical Services is making a deal with county residents: prove that the smoke alarm is in working order and get a free Domino's pizza.
"If your smoke alarm is determined to be non-working," the fire department said in a recent release, "you will pay for your pizza, however, firefighters will install a new 10-year, tamper proof, with hush feature smoke alarm, free of charge ... everyone is a winner."

They don't have anything else to do , they are being paid by you and I. They purchase these products with money in their budget. It also gives them training for a real productive job. Dominos are looking for some real fast men.
I'd rather have a new smoke alarm then a pizza. Alarm will last a year or two. Pizza one meal.
You have no clue. Check out the call load in P.G. and then say they don't have anything better to do.
