FallToberWeen with 3rd Friday

3rd Friday.
FallToberWeen.

October 17th is the next 3rd Friday in Downtown Salisbury; the monthly art and entertainment event that fills the streets with artisan crafts and original art.

This month 3rd Friday's theme celebrates a little bit of everything that we love about fall. It's a combination of a Fall Harvest Festival, Oktoberfest and an early Halloween party... a little something we like to call FallToberWeen!
The Plaza will feature live music from Borderline and the street will be jam-packed with local artists, crafters and vendors. North Division Street will be FallToberWeen headquarters with a Halloween themed dance showcase by the Feet of Fire Performance Troupe and endless activities.

Pumpkin painting, pumpkin smashing, pumpkin cornhole and more will be fun for all ages, sponsored in part by Rivers Edge Apartments and Studio for the Arts, the new artist housing development nearing completion downtown.
Pumpkins provided by our amazing local farmers.  Special thanks to the Lower Eastern Shore Research and Education Center (LESREC), Adkin's Farm MarketFarmers and PlantersMr. Peppers Pumpkin Patch,  How Sweet It Is and Harcum Farms.

Beer Street
St. Peters Alley, off the Plaza, will be transformed intoOktoberfest Beer Street, with beers from five of our favorite breweries: EVO, Evolution Craft Brewery of Salisbury, Burley Oak of Berlin, Tall Tales of Parsonsburg, RAR Reale Revival Brewing of Cambridge and 3rd Wave Brewing Co. of Delmar.  Each brewery will offer two selections, a seasonal and a staple brew. Enjoy a craft brew outdoors and experience the majority of Delmarva's craft breweries in one shot!

Beer sales with be hosted by the Salisbury Jaycees, and creates a fundraising opportunity for Salisbury's Jaycees, who produce many programs and events downtown including the upcoming Halloween Treat Street and theSalisbury Jaycees Christmas Parade.

Beers, Brat and Bach
St. Peters Episcopal Church, downtown's historical gem at the end of St. Peters Alley, is thrilled to join the celebration with Beers, Brat and Bach, as "beer brewing and feasting have been traditions in churches and monasteries for centuries" explains Reverend David Michaud. St. Peter's will join the Jaycees with Oktoberfest menu offerings, as well as offer mini-concerts and tours at 5:30 and 6:30.

The Friends of Wicomico Public Library will host "A Night in the Stacks" Dawn of the Unread, a zombie themed fundraiser from 6:30 - 9 pm at the Downtown Library. Get made up by a professional monster makeup artist and enjoy ghoulish grub, a horror cinema room, photo studio, thriller dance off, a live DJ and light show, and a Best Zombie Horde costume contest.
The event will be emceed by local comic book creators Mathew Shockley, Josh Shockley & James Dufendach of PLB Comics, and V.I.Z (Very Important Zombie) tickets are available. It will most fun you've had at the library ever, and a great way to support one of Downtown's biggest assets. Tickets are available online, at the door, or at any Wicomico Library Branch.

Headquarters Live!
One year ago, during October 3rd Friday, the sale of the historic Fire Station #16 was commemorated with a ceremonial settlement and document signing. Now, one year later, we get to celebrate again, as Devreco, the team of developers responsible for the future entertainment venue, will be joined by local dignitaries and stakeholders for a ceremonial groundbreaking for Headquarters Live at 5:30. Get a sneak peek at the plans for Headquarters Live and hear more about what types of musical acts, bands and performers will be making appearances in the near future, as we celebrate this huge milestone in for the revitalization of downtown.
