OLD LOGO |
NEW LOGO |
Hershey dropped the "'S" on its name, going for a more streamlined "Hershey." It also dropped the silver foil wrapper from its iconic Hershey's Kiss.
And that's what raised the stink.
"The new #hershey logo looks remarkably like the poo emoji. Seems someone should have caught this earlier. #branding," said one tweet by @carryoncarrie

Looks like a steamer to me! A hot, steaming heap!
That's the last straw! I'll never eat Hershey Chocolate again.
Surely the programmable lemmings will stop eating Hershey chocolate of all types. Not because of a drop in quality, but because they were told to and they damn well better do as they are told. They will never get over such a thing.
"...Seems someone should have caught this earlier..."
In a corporate world, you KNOW that some lower management-type knew the connection between the new logo and the emoji, but do you really think anyone would stand up to management and say, "Our new logo looks like a piece of crap." Not if he wanted to keep his job.
Stoopid!
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Note to marketing mavens; remember the new Coke debacle? Millions of dollars and millions of impressions down the drain - for what?
Stoopid!
(intentional spelling)
I like it , don't make a damn bit of difference to me.
I don't eat Hershey's now anyway. Their quality is definitely not what it used to be. It now has a gritty texture.
I grew up near Hershey and always loved the Old Logo all these years. What is wrong with a Hershey Kiss wrapped in foil? Must be some liberal who hates chocolate!
Why do you people resist progress of all kinds whether it's a skateboard park or an updated logo?
I am a degreed marketing professional with decades of experience and I like what they have done.
Looks nothing like the emoji
Well, they took the polish off the kiss. Now, you have a turd you can polish!
OH GOOD HEAVENS... if this were the worse problem in this country we would be in heaven. Take 2 chocolate kisses and go to your room.
You have to wonder who the moron was in marketing that decided to change the look of it. Didn't Hershey's get sold a few years ago? Maybe that is the reason for the name change. That LAST thing you want to do is associate something brown with something steamy!
