Police say they believe two young children who've been missing in suburban Maryland for more than a week are dead, and they're pursuing a homicide case against their mother.
Montgomery County police are searching parks and wooded areas in Clarksburg and Darnestown for 3-year-old Sarah Hoggle and 2-year-old Jacob Hoggle.
Their mother, 27-year-old Catherine Hoggle of Clarksburg, was arrested Friday. She's been charged with child neglect, obstruction and hindering. Police said Monday that they also plan to charge her with parental abduction.

Start building the gallows!
sounds like the casey anthony case all over again. praying these precious children will be found alive, but the longer they are not found does not bode well for them
They need to call out all available LE and search search search because this does sound like another Anthony case.
The longer a body is not found the harder it becomes to determine cause and then manner of death a lot of times.
Anthony was found not guilty (as she should have been) because no cause of death was ever determined and that goofy pathetically stupid and unethical "Dr G" took the unconventional (so she could show off) of concluding the manner was homicide without a cause.
This is an odd case. They mention her common law husband. Maryland doesn't recognize common law marriages unless they come from another state. If they come from another state she could have taken the child back to that state. Clarksburg, while it is in Montgomery County is not as congested as most of the county. Lots of wooded areas and back roads in that area.
