Kids playing outside has pretty much disappeared all over, what a shame. We lived outdoors all summer long, and on weekends.

The first photo of a long lunch counter reminds me of Woolworths on the plaza. My wife says the one in Woolworths was not as long.I do miss it.I miss the one cent to one dollar banana splits the most.

May be it's just me, but I've never pined away for the "good old days". Those days are gone, and I'm focused on the "great right now", and how I can always make it better. May be, for me, that's why life keeps getting better the older I get.

Unfortunately, this was a little before my time. I'm 52, and remember the lunch counters. I miss the stores that used to be there on the downtown plaza when I was a kid. Before Malls, the downtown plaza was the place to be! It was exciting and fun and Christmas was always special there. I miss the atmosphere and the great music! Maybe its just the memories of a child before innocence was lost!
