We Are Above the Law Declares County Attorney

It would be illegal for the county to pay the baby’s medical bills

Habersham County, Georgia, the jurisdiction that allowed intentionally or through negligence a SWAT team to break into a home with violent force in the middle of the night and throw a stun grenade into a baby’s face sending him to a hospital for weeks where he was in life support, has ruled that it would be illegal for the county to pay the baby’s medical bills. http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/lawyer-county-refuses-pay-medical-bills-toddler-hu/ng3s9/

The negligence of the police, and thereby the county, is a triple dose. It was the wrong house. A SWAT team was unnecessary in order to exercise a search warrant for a drug suspect. There was no excuse for throwing a stun grenade into a baby’s crib.

But the county attorney has ruled that the county is not liable for these massive incidences of unbridled negligence.

However, the unjustifiable SWAT team assault on the family in the home was legal.

This should be very, very frightening to everyone. It is in effect gutting your Constitution.., right in front of you. Letting it bleed out, right in front of you. For a public servant to conform to this mindset is what is against the law. Just more Obama police state criminal action against the American people is what this is. While the family will probably win in court, the question is, why do the even have to take that route? Why can't law enforcement and their attorney just 'man-up'?

ginn, this is why we search day in and day out for articles like this one.

It never ceases to amaze me every single day the THOUSANDS of articles that are out there, we select what we believe is information YOU might either enjoy and or be most interested in and then I turn on WBOC or WMDT at night and out of the THOUSANDS of articles out there, they always seem to pick the ones, (even national) Salisbury News publishes.

Now, that being said, is this a good thing or a bad thing.

Well, I had a conversation the other night with someone who had asked how long I'd keep running Salisbury News. I explained that the main reason I started SBYNews.com was because the local media was NOT telling the public everything.

I'm very proud to say that I have WON. Not completely but we have turned the table on what news and information you are getting, yet we still are alone in exposing a lot of covered up crap.

Nevertheless, 10 years ago NONE of the local MSM were discussing ANY crime, unless it was a murder. Now they are ALL following our lead producing the "Most Wanted". Heck, you see it, WBOC now has commercials advertising LOST ANIMALS.

Little by little we are turning THEM around and no one can deny any longer that we are Delmarva's News Leader.

I'm glad you appreciate this article and comment on so many others we provide. Heck, who knows. Maybe tonight we'll see, (once again) this very article on your local news channels.

Thanks, Joe.

A Civil Suit would say otherwise. The family should sue all departments or parties involved civilly.

The cops story --- "we can bust the door down to the wrong house (we're too stupid to even get an address correct before we start the killing spree), throw grenades inside (landing it in a baby crib was just an additional bonus), point automatic rifles at innocent people while screaming expletives, and damage property is just part of the job. Get over it.
The State's Attorney's story --- we aren't supposed to be seeking "justice" we merely exist to rubberstamp everything the police do so they can say they've been "exonerated" after an "investigation".
What would a regular citizen's punishment be for doing this exact same thing, say, in a home invasion (which is exactly what this was)?
Right. 25-Life. And millions in civil damages.
You could easily be next (YOU are innocent, too, right?).
Keep cheering.
