U.S. District Judge Catherine Blake released the ruling on Tuesday in Baltimore.
Maryland lawmakers approved the sweeping gun-control law last year in response to the December 2012 shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.
Attorneys who argued against key provisions in the law contended it violated Second Amendment rights. But lawyers for the state countered that the state took a reasonable approach by focusing on firearms used in military-assault style attacks and mass shootings to protect the public.

Of COurse she did, she is from the Maryland area. It will get appealed up to the SCOTUS and Maryland will loose, just like DC did. This is all political, the judge has inspirations to go further, she no doubt is democrat and will lean on her Democratic decisions to further her career.
Who cares. The President does not follow the law, COPS do not follow the law.
The law was made by and for liberals. No one else.
Does this just apply to law abiding citizens or criminals too?
Pack up and leave the state like the gun and ammo manufacturers. Let the gays hold hands, hug and kiss on the beach and O'Malley/Brown/Ireton/Pollitt and the likes can have this state. In fact, LET THEM pay all the taxes for welfare, food stamps, affordable housing, unemployment and the whole nine yards. Delmar & Selbyville, DE is just over the line.

Come to Virginia, this past weekend we just had the route 11 Yard crawl, there were guns galore for sale, it is wonderful, no paperwork, and lots of ammo in stores, along with AR's. Lots of help wanted ads in the daily paper too!
Glad I bought my now "illegal" magazines for my 9mm and AR-15 before the unconstitutional ban. As soon as the last kid is done with school, bye bye liberal Maryland!
The law infringes on my right to possess and bear firearms. Period.
The law is in direct violation of the 2nd Amendment to the U. S. Constitution.
Follow the yellow brick road... Trust the State....Trust the government...Trust Uncle Sam...we need BIG government to control small minds. We have riots going on...we need to control the weapons for the safety of all small citizens. This people is one step away from Communism.

Glad I got mine before this communist leaning garbage took effect. This legislation was fodder for the democrats in our state with higher political aspirations within the democratic/new socialist party. The law was inspired by a staged event designed to promote this type of legislation. This law is stage one socialism to confiscate all guns.
It is unconstitutional. Those judges got paid to lie.
Any "law" that limits citizens in ANY way is unconstitutional. We have the right, by way of the 2nd ammendment, to own (lawfully) the same weaponry as the military, and LEO's.
Hell, we GIVE those weapons to the cartel, Syria, Libya, ISIS, Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups. Pathetic.
All this crap will eventually be struck down but probably not in my life time. Who cares? I buy any gun I want, I just don't tell the communist state about them. Illegal as hell but I ain't gonna rob a liquor store either. They want em come get em just bring lots of bullets.
If aliens coming across our border are now legal,then guns brought across borders are legal. We can play Nobama's game too.
