BRIEF RESUME:
On the above date and time, Trooper’s
from the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack were dispatched to Kathleens
Terrace off of Parker Rd., for a suspicious vehicle that was driving
erratically and slowly through the development.
Upon arrival a Trooper located the suspect vehicle parked in the
driveway of one of the residences. Upon
contact with the operator of the vehicle, the Trooper noticed the operator was
unconscious and that the vehicle was still in drive. The Trooper was able to wake the operator,
and the operator put the vehicle in park.
While the Trooper was speaking with the operator, the operator put the
vehicle in drive and then fled the scene.
The Trooper followed the operator up to U.S. Rt. 50 and Phillip Morris
Dr., where the vehicle drove down into the ditch causing the operator to strike
his head on the windshield. The operator
of the vehicle then fled the scene on foot and was quickly apprehended by the
Trooper after trying to resist arrest.
The operator of the vehicle was then identified as Dino Louis Caruso of
Salisbury, Maryland. Caruso was then
transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries he
sustained in the accident and for an Emergency Medical Petition. A warrant was filed for Caruso’s arrest once
he is released from PRMC medical care.
Arrested:

of Salisbury, Maryland
The suspect was charged with: Assault Second Degree,
Assault Second Degree on a Police
Officer, Reckless Endangerment, Failure to
Obey Lawful Order, Driving under the
Influence and other traffic charges.

Why is Leatherbury's name at top of press release? He is retired.
Speaking of the MPS Salisbury barracks, the inspection ticket killing has not gotten much publicity since it happened. Anybody got any updates, or has it been swept under the rug like most of the other gestapo involved killings?
How long has Ernie been back with State Police? Last I knew he was at UMES.
