The decision to accept SNAP/EBT did not come easy. Everyone knows times are tough for many, especially our elderly population. People struggling or running into hard times does not mean these same people should not have access to good, fresh, healthy as well as affordable food. Based on the current economy we decided we would get the required licensing so people that have enjoyed shopping the market for fresh, wholesome food could continue to do so. We have a central cashier for EBT use.
People age 60 and up can go to the MAC center to apply for the Senior Nutrition Program. The Mac Center is located behind the Holly Center off Snow Hill Road.
Women, Infants and Children program is administered by the Health Dept in the Adkins Building on North Salisbury Blvd.
