Prices are still outrageous and out of my price range for a family of four that doesn't even the count the cost of food, gas, or possible lodging. I can spend the day at home and barbecue cheaper and enjoy myself just as much. Could go to the park or the state beach for far less.

Then please just stay home 3:12.

3:12 - Scrooge.

Go ahead - build the Loch Ness Monster roller coaster in your backyard. I dare ya!

How is 3:12 being a scrooge? They said it was out of their price range. Would you be happier if they charge everything on a credit card then filed for bankruptcy? People find enjoyment in ways that fit their budget. Some like amusement parks and some do not. We used to go when the children were younger but at the prices listed here I can see why some are not going.
I always found you could find discounts online or with coupons on soda cans that made it cheaper than going to the Civic Center to get them.

Funny how we managed to build our own bike ramps and back yard water slides at minimal cost and have a ton of fun all summer long, at home.
No lines, no rude city folk.
Friends, fun, water, popsicles. Thanks mom and dad.

I totally agree with 3:47 pm. No need to beat somebody up over a comment. We couldn't afford ticket prices like this for our family, let alone knowing spending more money for gas and food. Kudos to 3:12 pm for living within their means.

Sorry but I have to agree with 3:12 on this one. I am happy for the ones that can afford these prices, because I don't know many that can. Must be nice so why don't you tell us where you work and what your annual salary is?

Oh this is just great! NOW our county tax money is being used to promote events outside of our area! WHERE ARE THE JOBS IDIOTS?

No, no, come to Ocean City, and it's better after dark. No discounts, lots of deafening rap music, and hordes of young thugs to teach your kids all sorts of colorful urban expressions. Experience thrills and chills and danger and intimidation you'll never get anywhere else (well, maybe the Inner Harbor), then you can go home and tell your friends so that they can start vacationing elsewhere, like just about every other non-thug does these days.
