Shadowy firm subcontracted by Defense Department
The shadowy private intelligence firm subcontracted by the Defense Department that provided information on kidnapped soldier Bowe Bergdahl was partnered with another obscure outfit that provided security at the attacked U.S. special mission in Libya.
FoxNews.com reported Friday the Eclipse Group, run by former intelligence operatives, provided the military with intelligence that Bergdahl converted to Islam, declared he was a “mujahid,” or Islamic warrior, and at certain times was allowed by his captors to carry a gun.
Eclipse is headed by Duane R. “Dewey” Clarridge, a former senior CIA operations officer known for his role in the so-called Iran-Contra Affair, where senior U.S. administration officials secretly helped to facilitate the sale of arms to Iran despite an embargo. Clarridge was charged with seven counts of perjury and false statements to Congress but was pardoned by President George H.W. Bush in 1992.

The WikiLeak files on Bergdahl are interesting. Intercepted chatter reveals he was looking to find someone that spoke English and he had a camera with him. Evidently he was captured while having a crap on a makeshift latrine. Village elders attempted to secure his release within the first few days. Conditions included releasing 15 Taliban fighters from Gitmo and ransom money. There was such an intense search for him and more chatter revealed the kidnappers felt he must be someone of importance.
It is well known in intelligence circles that Bergdahl actually helped plan the attack in Benghazi.

Not buying that 10:12. Not only was Bergdahl over 3000 mi from Libya, but it's different terrorist organizations operating in Northern Africa where Libya is located than in the Afghanistan/Pakistan region. The Benghazi attacks were orchestrated by the Islamic militant group Ansar al-Sharia who were working with the local government to manage security in Benghazi, possibly hired by the State Dept. This obviously turned out to be a ruse.
