'Pushed Aside Like an Animal': Vet Dies While Unable to Get Care Through VA

There are alarming new reports this week about how difficult it has become for veterans to receive medical care from VA hospitals. Reports indicated at least 40 veterans died while awaiting appointments at the Phoenix VA Medical Center, prompting calls for an investigation and Senate hearings from the state's two senators, John McCain and Jeff Flake.

A former doctor alleges that senior management kept a secret waiting list in order to conceal the fact that 1,400 to 1,600 sick veterans were forced to wait months to see a doctor.

An Arizona woman spoke out this morning on Fox and Friends, questioning whether the alleged secret list may have played a role in the death of her father-in-law. Thomas Breen, 71, was taken to the ER last September and told by VA doctors to see a primary care physician immediately.

VA coverage is single payer. See what happens-rationed care, long waits.

I spoke with a lady in Cambridge Md. VA center , she was dumb as a brick and told me that the camera for ID has been broken for months.
Then I went to the VA in Pocomoke Md. and received a less than warm welcome. Only one man to help you and his greeting was the pits, I asked him if he hated his job , no reply but a dirty look.
These people , I don't believe have served an hour in the military , much less seen any action or death. This is so sad.
Lets hire some more minorities and watch our country go to hell.
