Judge Napolitano: Ranch Rebellion Was Americans’ “Line in the sand"

BLM feds should have been arrested for theft of private property

Judge Andrew Napolitano appeared on Fox News to denounce the federal government’s operation against Nevada cattle rancher Cliven Bundy, asserting that BLM agents should have been arrested for seizing his property and that the case represents a “line in the sand” for Americans who have had enough of big government tyranny.

Napolitano said the feds were forced to back down because they had suffered a public relations nightmare, pointing out that Bundy lost his case in a federal court but that the case should have been tried in a state court.

“The federal judiciary should not be deciding what land the federal government owns,” said Napolitano, adding that the feds should have placed a lien against Bundy’s property to collect grazing fees and not conducted a raid backed up by armed agents to seize his private property.

“The government’s option is to take the amount of money he owes them and docket it, that is file the lien on his property….the federal government could have done that, instead they wanted this show of force,” said Napolitano, adding, “They swooped in….with assault rifles aimed and ready and stole this guy’s property, they stole his cattle, they didn’t have the right to do that, that’s theft and they should have been arrested by state officials”.

This is a law breaking moocher refusing to recognize the government of this country, truly one of the "takers"

Maybe he should have paid the fees that he has racked up for twenty years.
The real question here is why did it take so long and who was looking the other way? They let him get away with this for 20yrs?

I can't believe there are actually idiots who think the feds are in the right here. "20 years 20 years 20 years." His family has grazed cattle on that land for almost 200 YEARS. How about the government decides today that the driveway of your home is federal property after you've lived there your whole life, and they charge you $100 a week to park your car there. The ignorance of the general population is what is allowing stuff like this to occur in a "free country".

2:41....good job. We have, in this country, exceeded a critical mass number. That number is the number of citizens who do not know their own history, what the Bill of Rights says, or what the Declaration of Independence means. All they know is "me, me, me". Stupid citizens are easy marks for wanna-be dictators and bureaucrats.

It has nothing to do with fees 1:51. Do your homework. When the BLM limited the number of cattle allowed on the land and raised fees, it put all the other ranchers out of business-54 of them to be exact. Bundy felt the government bureaucracy was working against the ranchers to systematically run them out of business so big business could use the property (turns out he was correct.) He stopped paying the feds because he felt they were using his money against him but offered and tried to pay the state instead. They used this against him to revoke his permit entirely. The bottom line is whether he paid the fees or not, they were going to make him leave one way or another. Don't be so naïve.

It's totally amazing how many people appear to have been born yesterday. Complete products of public school "educations." The inability to read into the back stories and think forwardly. It's no wonder the Fortune 500 companies can't find enough employees and have to go out of the country to recruit.

Our Constitution is a really short book, and really easy for all to understand. So it the Declaration.

Unfortunately, I don't think kids in school can read. Many grads cannot.

Easy pickings for Socialists...
