Bad day: Burglar shot by homeowner dies in car crash trying to get away

A Detroit burglary was interrupted Thursday when the homeowner shot one of the suspects who then fled the scene in getaway vehicle, only to crash into a neighbor’s house and died.

Detroit Police Sgt. Michael Woody said two armed men who gained entry into the home by breaking a window were met by the homeowner, who was also armed, according to MyFoxDetroit. The homeowner shot at the burglars who returned fire. The driver was hit and the two others fled on foot.

A woman who resided in the house that the car collided with was injured. It’s unknown whether the bullet or the crash is what killed the driver.

Good for the homeowner! You SHOULD be able to protect yourself, family and home when this happens, but I can hear the liberals now...you should have called 911...you should have asked them to leave...you should have let them take what they wanted, after all, they must NNED it!!!
