During the day on March 20, 2014, a Worcester County Sheriff's Office Deputy responded to Worcester County District Court in Snow Hill, in reference to a reported violation of a protection order. The Deputy met with complainant who advised her ex-boyfriend John Scott Edwards 32 of Ocean City, had violated a court order protective order. Mr. Edwards fled the scene. Mr. Edwards was subsequently located in West Ocean City where he was arrested and charged with violation of a protection order Mr. Edwards was seen by a District Court Commissioner and was released on his personal recognizance.
On March 20, 2014 at 2039 hours Deputies from the Worcester County Sheriff Office and the Worcester County Bureau of Investigations began an investigation of a report of and case of Child Abuse at a residence outside of Snow Hill, Maryland.
After an investigation Deputies made an arrest of Jermaine Ernest Schoolfield, 34 years old of Snow Hill Md. Mr. Schoolfield was charged with 2nd degree Assault, and reckless endangerment of two minors.
Mr. Schoolfield saw the District Court Commissioner and was held in the Worcester County Jail on a 75,000 dollar bond. The investigation is still ongoing at this time, for further charges.
