I think Obamacare is a train wreck that's going to cause tons of damage but...
Why would you punish someone who actually has a job and is working for their money?
Or a company that is honest enough to post this (I would assume this is passive aggressive disagreement with Obamacare as well. Why skylight a downside to something you agree with)?

The waiters do not set the price or levy taxes. Deduct the taxes and figure your tip from there instead of the total bill. Dont stiff the wait staff,have a heart.
I don't recall any business owners or customers who had a chance to vote on Obamacare. I do know a bunch of senators and congressmen who, after they heard the line,"We have to pass the Bill to find out what is in it", bowed down and said, "Okay, we'll vote it in!"

I totally agree the working people shouldn't be cheated on the tip side. However, these same people most likely voted for Obama and now will feel the effects. Why is it that people don't like people who have made a lot of money? Go out and do the same and quit your bitchin'.

Go ahead genious, don't tip me because of a 1% tax. Go further and tell me it is because of my voting for Obama, when I didn't. You will get yours. Maybe not at that moment but sometime. You may have a scratch down your car or a flat that mysteriously appears. Where I work if you don't tip you are asked to not return. See you in the booths and high tops.
Okay people...the solution is simple. If they let you know up front before you order anything, and i mean they make sure you know somehow, you have a chance to either stay or leave. If they don't let you know until you get your bill, simply deduct that amount from your bill and make sure you tip accordingly...and let your server know what your doing. Let them know you are not supporting the Obama fund.

12:45 please tell us where you work? I for one would never eat at a place that had a company policy that stated if someone didn't leave a tip there are to be told never to return. Me and my family ( wife and two sons ) sons being in the early 20s have worked in the restaurant business all our lives. Neither of us has ever heard of such a company policy. I my self have worked in restaurants all across the country was even a store manager at the age of 17 and never heard of such a policy. I mean the whole concept of a restaurant is to make people feel at home and welcome. Now you come on here telling us you work for a local restaurant in our area that tells its customers (we noticed you left no tip . I'm sorry but at this time it is our company policy that we ask you never to return)

lmao, seriously folks? how many restaurants in this area are actually worth going to for the foord or the ambiance? what 1, 2, 3? the rest are all roach infested germ breeding laboratory's designing up the next super bug from that food handler who just went to the bathroom and failed to wash their hands, AGAIN! And you want me to pay how much for this? let obummer eat it! it's his mess!

Where on earth did you get the idea that people working in restaurants voted for Obama? That is the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a long time!
I certainly will not withhold tips because of DumboCare. However, if servers begin making wages in excess of $10 an hour (as some have suggested) I will probably not leave a gratuity.
Blame obama for everything wrong in your world. Look at history, The political spectrum constantly swings from one party to the other. Good times have been had during both administrations. The best situation is where one party controls congress ant the other has the executive branch (whitehouse). It is pathetic that the people on this blog have so much hatred for people they suspect of being democrats. THe posts about wanting to harm people with opposing viewpoints is disgusting. This country was founded on the belief that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and the first amendment guarantees that. While I may not agree with most democrats, I have never wished ill will to any of them and prefer to engage them in discussion without negativity. There is an old saying "keep your friends close but your enemies closer".
This what happens when you vote for a tax increase it gets passed down to the consumer. Or you could do what Southern boys concepts does and charge their servers 4% directly out of their tips.
