In his most extensive comments since the shooting, Peter Lanza described his struggle to comprehend the actions of his son, who killed his mother then gunned down 20 children and six educators at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown in December 2012.
Lanza also told The New Yorker magazine in a series of interviews last fall that he believes Adam would have killed him, too, if he had the chance. And he often contemplates what he could have done differently in his relationship with Adam, although he believes the killings couldn't have been predicted.

8:07 - Why am I not surprised a reader of this blog would say that? So, those 20+ families are all in on it? And where did those kids and teachers go? Or did the names released as victims, the ones who were buried by their families, never exist at all?
I fear for the future of this country if people like you actually vote.
No parent should have to feel as though their child was never born...this is just a sad situation all the way around for EVERYONE...Life sure can deal some rotten hands..

I agree 9:44. I have yet to read the rest of the story but I just can't imagine what this father is and will continue to go through. I'm sure he asks himself over and over what he could/should have done differently.
Why are so many people saying Sandy Hook was a hoax? Did it really happen? Did the government get this Kook to go into the school and kill kids so we can have more gun laws?

It all had to do with timing, coverage by media. Some say it was all role playing. It seems that it could be very much that.
911 happened and the coverage for that was very different than this. This happened and it was over, no real closure to anyone.
The coroner stated it was assault rifle before bodies ever got to morgue. BUT the rifle was locked in trunk. Most of the shooting were done by pistol.

Don't forget the mother he lived with bought him the guns and took him to a shooting range, with his mental problems she thought it would be a good thing they could do together! I feel sorry for the father and brother who had to leave to survive.
