A well placed source just told us that Colt is buying LWRC for $60 million. The deal is supposed to close on 1 March. The Maryland company may relocate to Florida or Texas and the LWRC M6 Individual Carbine (M6IC) rifle will become a Colt branded product.

Gee...why would anybody want to leave the Socialist State of Maryland? They are so friendly to guns (yes to all those who have no had their coffee yet--this is sarcasm)
Dick Bernstein has the Midas touch --an amazing guy..
This is for all you born here's..... This company and it's people will be more than welcomed in Florida.... We have awesome weather, plenty of things to do with nearly 60 theme parks, some of the best beaches in the country and the biggie...PROGRESS!!!! That's how you succeed.....EMBRACE the new comers....or fail like Delmarva....
I new colt was looking to buy them out. Looks like more unemployed in the slow state.
It might be a big win for LWRC employees if they are looking to relocate them. Better pay and living in a gun friendly state.
It's called O'Malley Alley -- the road out of Maryland to greener pastures.
They have their machining facility on Naylor... wonder if they'll shut down too? I don't like their rifles (over priced), but hate to see them pushed out by DUMB legislation that does nothing but hurt business.
How does that song go 'oops there goes another rubber tree plant'... soon the farm will be open overgrown pasture!
6:29 Wow, if you only knew the truth!!
7:05 you have no idea what you are talking about. The reason gun manufacturers are leaving Maryland has nothing to do with "from heres", who overwhelmingly support the second amendment. It's SB281,O'Malley's absurd gun law that was signed last year. From heres showed up by the thousands to protest and provide testimony against the law. From heres are the victims of bad policy and in no way are to blame for this.

MD voted him into office…DUH!
California appears to have a ballot issue moving forward telling sacramento to beat it. Wonder why the eastern shore hasn't figured out a way to tell Annapolis/Baltimore to do the same!
Hear the plant in Salisbury MD is staying open. For those who have not read MD's new law, it has no effect on gun manufacturers.
