Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Press Release 1-28-14

With freezing temperatures, wind and snow accumulations of up to four inches expected overnight Tuesday and into early Wednesday morning, the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office urge residents to remain indoors and stay off the roads if at all possible.

Weather conditions are expected to deteriorate rapidly in the early evening hours. Those who must venture out are strongly urged to exercise caution, as slick conditions and low visibility will make driving hazardous.

Bundle up if headed outdoors, and exercise extreme caution. Wear layers of lightweight clothing that can be added to or removed as needed and protect extremities by wearing gloves and hats, and be sure to protect pets from the cold as well by bringing them indoors and assuring they have access to unfrozen water.
