Officer arrived at wrong address and shot homeowner seven times because he “felt threatened”
Yesterday a grand jury declined to charge a Ft. Worth, Texas police officer who killed a 72-year-old man on his own driveway after arriving at the wrong address to investigate a burglary alarm.
The jury’s decision not to indict R.A. “Alex” Hoepper for the May 28 shooting death of Jerry Waller came after prosecutors presented 25 hours of testimony over four days, according to the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram.
Waller died after Hoepper shot him seven times as the officer and his partner arrived at Waller’s house, mistakenly thinking that the burglary alarm going off across the street came from his residence.

see they get a way with murder when there is proof that it was and yet let him walk...
And you all hate me fore saying its time to bring back and eye for an eye for these pos cops...
wow what a miscarriage of justice there.
he must not of been black, No noise from Jessie or Al
I hope a decent god fearing upstanding Texas citizen corrects this travesty of justice... say with a 12 gauge, point blank.
That trial would have been interesting to watch. What could possibly have been introduced as evidence to justify this?
A goldmine of a TV show is being overlooked.A weekly show highlighting outrageous court rulings would be a sensation.A docudrama like the ID channel produces would be the perfect venue to show the world precisely how unjust the judicial system can be.
Just FYI the 72 year old man was walking down his driveway with a pistol in his hand. Maybe he didn't hear the officer tell him to put down the gun. Maybe he was slow to react because he was 72. Maybe the cop shot as soon as he got out of the car without telling the man to drop the gun. Can't say exactly, but the fact that the man was armed does make the shooting a little more understandable. Tragic and wrong but at least more understandable.
5:43-That changes everything.I need to start reading these stories completely before passing judgement.
