Looking to cause as much pain as possible to the American people during this shut down, President Obama sent National Park Service (NPS) police officers to shut down hundreds of parks and historic sites that the federal government doesn't even fund.
We are all familiar with the barricades erected at the open-air WWII Memorial in Washington DC. Images of aged WWII veterans being prevented by armed NPS officials from entering the memorial were all across the media.

He has not demonstrated any leadership qualities to or for the american people. On the other hand, the brave veterans who have faithfully served this country and have proven themselves loyal, patriots deserve to pay their respect at the memorial here and in France. They know what respect and honor are all about. The president has neither.
Putting up cones on public highways to keep people from viewing or taking photos of Mt Rushmore.Too much to stomach.
People need to quit bitching. So what that I will get unemployment checks PLUS backpay when this is over. I deserve it. Federal workers keep America safe and we should be compensated for the risk we potentially face. When this is all over, we will take a real vacation that funds the domestic workforce at resorts. Domestic workers should be tipping us rather than us them.
