A city council candidate in New York is “flabbergasted” that he’s forbidden from wearing an American flag lapel pin in his photo for the city’s voter guide.
Joseph Concannon, a Reform Party candidate in Queens, told the New York Daily News that the New York City Campaign Finance Board’s policy is outrageous.
“This is the United States of America, not some banana republic. What’s the problem with wearing the flag?” Concannon said.

The problem is not America - The candidate just happens to reside in a left wing State filled with Obamabots and America haters. My advice is do not run and move to Texas and live free
I'm sorry, I missed the memo stating which party the flag represented. Must be either the Constitutionalists, or the Libertarians. It certainly doesn't represent the GOP or Democrats!
I hope he wears it while sipping from a 32 ounce Big Gulp...and holding a salt shaker.
Then, just don't take his picture! I wouldn't buckle!
I can see this happening to military uniforms in the future. They're already talking about making it optional to swear an oath using God's name.
