Mayor And Council President Mourn Loss Of Life In Salisbury Community

“The senseless violence that has claimed 2 lives is horrific and incomprehensible. The families of the dead and wounded are in our citizen's thoughts and prayers. The wasted potential and loss of life will never be fully counted. Salisbury, it citizens and employees of the city stand ready to assist Salisbury University and the Onley Road community in any way we can,” said Mayor Ireton.

“When tragedy strikes, we are afforded the opportunity to see not only darkness in our world, but heroism, courage, love and empathy. Today, we can reflect on the bravery of the police officers and paramedics who selflessly entered into a dangerous situation and the young man who tried to protect his friend; tomorrow we will marvel at the bravery, love and compassion of our community, our city, our University,” said Council President Jake Day.

Is Day and Ireton so self centered they didn't want to include the other 4 council members in this? They have some explaining to do.

IMO the three previous commenters must truly be missing their God given Brain. More Police would not have stopped this. As best as I can tell, no partying was involved. Get real.

Really. The perp was from Stevensville, not here, and drove in to a specific address and shot 2 folks. The police could never have stopped this unless they recieved a call from Stevensville from an informant.

May God bless Mr. Abbott's soul and grant him eternal life, and may God hold Kristen close to His heart in her recovery and future life. This is truly a horrific tragedy, and we all need to support these victims and their families.

A private note to the families of the victims would have been more appropriate. This is just grandstanding.
How come the mayor never comments and is ready to assist the black community when a black boy is murdered in Salisbury?
Same thing happened when Sandy Hook occurred. Distasteful politicians came out of the woodwork pledging this and that. When a poor inner city youth is killed they don't say a word.

Because the boy mayor is a racist and I know that for a fact. I have held numerous conversations with him and it is very evident.
