Colorado Sheriffs Join Recall Rally

The rally is from 12 PM to 1 PM MDT and is being held at the Pioneer Museum in Colorado Springs.

The Sheriffs who will be in attendance are part of the group of 55 who have filed suit to have Colorado's new gun control laws overturned: El Paso County Sheriff Terry Maketa, Weld County Sheriff John Cooke, Teller County Sheriff Mike Ensminger, Douglas County Sheriff Dave Weaver, Gilpin County Sheriff Bruce Hartman, and Cheyenne County Sheriff Ken Putnam.

Sheriff Maketa heaped praise on those fighting for their Constitutional rights through the recall process:

I find telling that law enforcement in many states oppose the limiting of gun ownership. Theoretically they would support it so they would be safer when doing their job. Instead it simply means there will be more crime because only illegal guns will be out there so their jobs will actually be harder. Listen to the trained professionals not the idiots in office.
