OCEAN CITY — The hybrid OC BikeFest and Delmarva Bike Week last weekend was by most accounts a rousing success with an estimated 200,000 bikers visiting the resort.
For the first time this year, OC Bikefest and Delmarva Bike Week operated under a single umbrella with both events owned and operated by OC Jams LLC and event producer Cliff Sutherland. With near perfect weather, aside from thunderstorms Thursday evening, everything line up for a highly successful Bike Week event this year with an estimated 200,000 motorcycles converging on Ocean City and across the Lower Shore.
“There were probably 200,000 bikers, of which at least 150,000 were in Ocean City,” said Sutherland this week. “I have talked to a lot of merchants, hotels and restaurants and everybody seemed really happy.”

As far as the $20 I spent to get in to the OC fence that had 3 food places and more than 60% of the vendor areas walled off, I'll never see that wasted 20 again. Lesson for next year, Hooper's island and Salisbury had way more to offer for free, and I went 3 days.
Next year, I will be wiser, OC!
Is that supposed to be impressive? Myrtle Beach's bike weeks just happened to be four times that amount.

I have no idea what was going on at Oasis in Whaleyville but there was a ton of people there that looked like they were having fun. They had something set up that everyone was watching. Just something to maybe check out next year maybe.

They have also been having that event a lot longer. This was a nice event for people around the Maryland area.
All those bikers and not 1 story about a fight or shooting or gangs.. just goes to show bikers are a bunch of respectful down to earth people
The event at Oasis featured midget wrestling...seriously. But apparently it was a lot of fun!
Oasis rocks, period!
