Resume:
Bethany Beach, DE- The Delaware State Police in conjunction with the United States Postal Inspection Service have arrested two men after it was discovered marijuana was being delivered to their house in Bethany Beach.

Detectives with the Sussex County Governor's Task Force (GTF) and Drug Task Force were alerted by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service on Tuesday about a package that was to be delivered to the 29000 block of Cove Way. The contents of the package were examined by the Inspection Service to be a significant amount of marijuana and it was addressed to a Danny Mutz. With the assistance of the USPS, detectives converged on the residence with the package Tuesday afternoon, and upon knocking on the door, made contact with Dennis Martinez outside the home. Martinez acknowledged the delivery by signing the acceptance form before GTF members converged. Upon noticing the troopers, Martinez attempted to flee into the house but was quickly taken into custody without further incident.

Daniel Mutz, who was observed inside the residence, surrendered to the detectives without incident. A search of the residence was conducted and revealed 138.1 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, drug paraphernalia, over 900.00 in suspected drug proceeds, as well as the 2093.4 grams (4.61 lbs.) of packaged marijuana.

Mutz and Martinez were transported back to Troop4 where they were charged with the above listed crimes. They were released on unsecured bonds after being arraigned at JP2.
