Police: Man Steals Purse, Punches Woman

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WMAR) - One minute Adam Cohen is getting his picture taken with his wife and two kids, the next he's picturing this.

"I just heard people yelling, he stole the purse, he took the purse. And I ran out and was trying to help," said Cohen.

Without a second thought, he ruffled his clothes and ran outside. Anne Arundel County police say the suspect struck up a conversation with a 58-year-old woman in the shoe department at JCPenney in Annapolis Mall, then he punched her in the face and ran off with her purse.
