Governor Martin O'Malley and U.S. Senator Ben Cardin will cut the ribbon Monday morning, on a newly renovated MARC train station in Halethorpe.
The station along Southwestern Boulevard has undergone $32.7-million in renovations, over the last two years, that include a new northbound high-level platform, elevators and a new walkway bridge.
The station is located along the Penn Line connecting Perryville and Union Station in Washington. The MTA says it is one of the five busiest train stations along the Penn Line, handling more than 1,300 riders per day.
