SUDLERSVILLE — The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office has confirmed it was a bomb that fell from the sky on the night of Thursday, Aug. 29, at Darlene's Tavern.
Witnesses reported an object fell from the sky about 9:20 p.m. and buried itself in the parking lot. No one was injured, police said.
Maryland State Police and local fire departments responded. When they cleared away some of the debris, they found what appeared to be a military-style bomb, according to Deputy State Fire Marshal Bruce Bouch. They called for the bomb squad from the fire marshal's office.
