Ocean City Parking Meters

TONIGHT 6PM, JUNE 3RD @ CITY HALL IS THE FINAL VOTE ON PARKING METERS!!!!!

SHOW UP TONIGHT AND TELL THEM WE DON'T WANT MORE METERS. THEY CAN BE STOPPED!!!!

The Town of Ocean City is planning to install parking meters for the first time in Ocean City history on the North end of town, Ocean and Bayside.

THEY CLAIM IT'S NEEDED TO CLOSE BUDGET GAPS.

OCEAN CITY DOESN'T HAVE A REVENUE PROBLEM THEY HAVE A SPENDING PROBLEM. IF YOU THINK IT STOPS WITH THESE METERS THINK AGAIN. JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE TOP SALARIES AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THAT IT WILL NOT STOP WITH JUST THESE METERS.

Exactly! Not a revenue problem but a spending problem.
Start cutting costs YOU BUNCH OF MORNONS! How much are these meters going to cost to buy and implement? Find a way to save money without spending money! I've got a feeling that ain't going to happen because the new majority hasn't the intelligence or the guts to come up with cost cutting measures and would rather nickel and dime people to death because that's the easy way. Prove to the citizens you have a brain (because it's debatable) and know how to use it and come up with creative ways to increase revenues instead of the pittance these metered spaces will bring!

OC is going to get worse. I'm not from OC but I watch the council meetings online. Dare, Knight, Cymek, Metrecik and Martin have their heads stuck so far up the butts of the unions it's unbelievable. They ought to be ashamed of themselves for being such followers and not leaders though it is quite funny to watch this group of butt kissers.

This was probably orchestrated by the meter vendors. When it's all said and done-purchase of the equipment, maintenance and employees to enforce- how much revenue is this really going to generate?

Taxes already pays for the road why would we have to lose more money because the government can only manage money best as a third grader.
