HERE’S WHY THIS NAACP OFFICIAL THINKS IT’S GOOD THE IRS TARGETED TEA PARTY GROUPS (HINT: IT INVOLVES THE TALIBAN)

Julian Bond, chairman emeritus of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), said Tuesday that he supports the Internal Revenue Service’s political targeting of Tea Party groups because “they are the Taliban wing of American politics.”

And he doesn’t think the comparison is in any way unfair or over the top.

Bond’s Taliban remarks were made in response to a question posed by MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts.

Roberts noted that the NAACP official was outraged in 2004 when his organization came under heavy IRS scrutiny.

You don't think its somewhat reasonable for the taxation authority to doublecheck applications from a group with the published plank of "T.axed E.nough A.lready" as they sign up for tax exempt status a little harder than normal?

Its the moral equivalent of looking twice at the pet store when the owner of the local foreign restaurant comes in. Politically inappropriate? Maybe. But not a conspiracy.

Tea party is a tax revolution party not morality..however NAACP IS THE COMMUNIST WING OF AMERICAN POLITICS

NAACP is nothing more than a civil UNION who's very existence admits the inferiority of it's members.
Abolish racist affirmative action inequality and let all humans stand on their own MERIT.
(or not)

What the IRS did flies in the face of all that is American. I am NOT a conservative and think EVERYONE should be outraged by this.

I do not agree with the Tea Party on many things, but I think it is wrong to equate them with the Taliban. I think it is also wrong to equate Obama with Hitler.

If you are okay with calling all Democrats "communists," then you should be okay with the other side calling you Taliban.

I believe we should ALL stop with the extremist name calling. Does it make America better? No. All it does is make everyone sound like they are still on a 5th grade playground.

The NAACP is a joke.

Time for the NAA Colored People to retire, old school, irrelevant.

Yet none of you were complaining when the same organization was targeting the NAACP. Your selective criticism is very typical and sad.

And to Anons11 and 11:25

The NAACP was out there working hard long before you were even born. The people who it represents are hardly lazy.

Lets not forget that the IRS also went after 'Jack's churches and other organizations and no one complained.
