“Why expand in a place where the people who built the gun couldn’t buy it?” Jeffrey Reh, general counsel for Beretta, asked.
The Washington Post explains:
Beretta, the nearly 500-year-old family-owned company that made one of James Bond’s firearms, has already invested more than $1 million in the [civilian version of a machine gun designed for special operations forces] and has planned to expand its plant further in Prince George’s County to ramp up production.More

If they were smart they would move over the border to V.A. lot more second amendment friendly and a lot more business froendly.
I'm sure the citizens on the Eastern Shore of Virginia would embrace them. Mater of fact, there is plenty of open land and qualified people in Delmar De.
It was a bad decision for them to come to Maryland in the first place. When you think about it, why would any company move to Maryland when they have better choices elsewhere? Maryland doesn't deserve a company like Beretta. Maryland is only going to be left with prisons and landfills.
I guess our wonderful governor didn't think that would happen now did he? Key word being THINK.
Benelli in Pocomoke.
We could only hope they would move a few miles south to VA, it would be an easy transition and keep all the tooling and employees (IE local jobs)
(Beretta owns Benelli)
LWRC will be next to leave.
I hope they move to Delmar Delware also TAX FREE.
They should cross back into VA, as they did in the 90's. Take the revenue and jobs with it. We're becoming an entitlement state, so it won't matter.
Delaware has an idiot for a governor as well.
LWRC & Beretta should base themselves on the lower shore as should several other gun makers these companies could provide the jobs, economic base etc. to aid in our succession from the State of Maryland!
C'mon, Secession!
Hey, wouldn't a better solution to secession be to have all the shore become an enlarged Delaware, the tax free state. I know the Gov. this time around is a bonehead, but we change our underwear around here every few years anyway! I'm liking this idea, and then I don;t have to move anywhere!
Fulton Armory-Savage,MD
Adcor Defense-Baltimore,MD
LWRC-Cambridge,MD
Basically everything these three companies make will be banned to MD citizens if these bills pass.
