Teen's Life Saved Thanks to AED

A 17-year-old senior women's basketball player at C. Milton Wright High School in Bel Air collapsed on the court during a game Thursday night and was brought back to life. The teenager is recovering at an area hospital.

In a statement, the Harford County School system said nurses, coaches and teammates immediately rushed to help the player, by giving her CPR.

Maryland State Trooper Adam Davies used an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) that was located in the school's gymnasium to also help revive the girl. He was on patrol Thursday night. Davies, who has been an EMT for 12 years, said when he arrived at the school he began directing everyone there on how to help save the girl's life.

That ever important first minutes...
It doesn't help that those energy drinks are consumed like water by practically everyone. Curious to know if she had any in the prior hours... Betcha she did.
