Slumping Ravens Fire Offensive Coordinator Cam Cameron; Jim Caldwell Will Take Over Offense

Cam Cameron was fired Monday as offensive coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens, who have lost two straight and are still striving for consistency in the running and passing game.

Cameron ran the Baltimore offense since the start of the 2008 season for coach John Harbaugh. Since that time, the Ravens’ attack has repeatedly taken a back seat to the team’s defense, and this year the offense ranks 18th with 344.4 yards per game.

Jim Caldwell, who was hired as quarterbacks coach before the season, will assume Cameron’s duties. Caldwell was head coach of the Indianapolis Colts from 2009-11.

Hilarious. Cameron was not the problem, the problem is the self described "elite" quarterback Flacco. I liked him when he first came out of UD, but it has become pretty obvious that he is a total jackass. He's like an arrogant Trent Dilfer without the best defense in the league to back him up.

Hail to the Redskins!!!

Good move by the Ravens. They get a lead in the 1st half and come out and sit on the ball in the 3rd quarter. They need to play 4 quarters of offense.

The offense didn't give up 31 points. The defense lost to 2 backup quarterbacks in a row, how is it Cam's fault. It isn't Andy Reid's fault, and now I guess it isn't Harbaugh's fault either.

Defense? your crazy... the defense has been decimated by injuries, webb, suggs, smith, lewis all injured. Ravens D actually had practice squad players playing in the secondary at the end of game. You'd think Joe "im an elite QB" Flacco could have stepped it up in the 2nd qtr... c'mon after a good first half, Flacco fumbled, threw a dumb pick, then ran around scared on 3rd and ten in overtime with no one even touching him.... the goof was embarrassing

This is long overdue.

I said it in 2009. the ravens will never win a championship with joe flacco. he's like a deer in headlights. he can't chew gum and walk at the same time.

yes, he'll win games on a good team.

but never a championship.

cam cameron would've won a superbowl last year with a real quaterback. like a brees, brady, rodgers, etc. it was their year.

even with the mistakes made by other players. it comes down in every key game to a screw up by joe flacco.
2 weeks in a row now he couldn't hear the defense coming and got hit and fumbled away the games.

be glad when he's gone. i'd rather watch a 6-6 team that wants to win, than a 9-4 team that expects to win. flacco is no leader. and look at championship teams. brady-leader, brees-leader..elway...leader, montana...leader, bradshaw...leader, aikman... leader. warner...leader. all quarterbacks.
ravens...lewis...leader. flacco just blows on his hands and walks around like....... dah!!!!!!!
