Franchot Makes Decision On 2014

After months of speculation that he would run for governor in Maryland, Comptroller Peter Franchot says that he will instead run to be re-elected for his current job.

Franchot made the announcement Tuesday morning that he is pursuing to be re-elected as Comptroller to his nearly 4,000 Twitter followers.

He tweeted, "After careful consideration I will seek re-election for Comptroller in '14. Serving taxpayers continues to be an honor."

Interesting how he is having a very expensive fundraiser at a location that isn't in Maryland. He lost my support.
