Left Eyes Forced Unionization of Home Care Providers

Fourteen states have implemented laws that forcibly unionize home child day care providers, often against their will or even unbeknownst to them. Unions that cater to government employees like the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Union have been a driving force behind the proliferation of these new unions, according to a new report in the Capital Research Center.

The report, published by the husband and wife team of Mallory and Elisabeth Factor, began with this provocative thesis.

“Unable to persuade most private sector workers to join unions, labor strategists are using political connections and dubious legal arrangements to unionize private citizens without their consent—including parents caring for their own children.”

I remember when Clinton tried to have OSHA inspect home based businesses and make them compliant but failed and this is another try at it.

Most day cares are operating at the bare cost of what a Mom can make at her job. It's a tradeoff; use daycare and keep your professional career going, or quit the career and take care of your own kids. Sometimes, the wife can show a profit at the end of the week and contribute to the household expenses, but if the unions are going to strong arm their way in and charge dues, well, there goes that.
where is the CHOICE that America always had?

We collectively voted out that choice earlier this month.

We deserve what we get till we change it.

NONE of this can be done without the happy compliance of our "leaders", who are SUPPOSED to "represent" us, but in fact (and pretty openly now), represent those who have the biggest "campaign contributions". You and I, "we, the people", are LAST on the list now. Corruption. From the President straight down to the local city council. ONE THING and one thing only, can fix this. Revolution. Criticize all you like, but until each and every one of these slimy, self-important, underhanded, lying, cheating, two-faced, stealing, and bribe-taking brazenly shameless stooges are either hung, or run out of town (dripping tar and feathers), we will continue to see these things. They need some fear of the people. Some consequences. Some long overdue accounting for their selfishness and greed.
