Language On Expanded Gaming In Question 7 Not Legally Binding

Language in the gambling bill gives Prince George's County voters the power to deny Maryland a sixth casino site, even if the referendum question passes statewide, the WBAL-TV 11 News I-Team found.

The language is not legally binding but it is politically powerful. If that scenario plays out, the Video Lottery Facility Location Commission, based on instructions set by the General Assembly, is likely to deny a sixth casino site.
What the combined $50 million campaign for and against expanding gaming in Maryland doesn't say is that if Referendum Question 7 passes statewide -- and voters in Prince George's County vote against it -- then there may be no sixth casino site.

Well, they won't vote against it. They're dems...& will believe anything including the jobs and better education.
