Raise Federal Salaries
Two government-focused think tanks are urging the next president to raise federal salaries. They cite the 60 percent of federal workers eligible to retire in the next few years. The recommendation comes in the latest policy memo from the American Society for Public Administration and the National Academy of Public Administration. They say the government should reduce the disparity between federal and private sector pay. One way is widening the range of salaries available to individuals within their GS category.

WTF!?!?!?!?! the gov't worker is already overpaid. the best health benefits, salaries & fed holidays and paid time off. they're swimming in tax-payer money. what more do they want from us, BLOOD?
More importantly - hire folks that can actually do the job at the appropriate salary. What I am seeing is federal workers at the higher GS levels that are incapable of performing the required duties in the public sector. Too many gimme jobs...
yes keep giving the govt more pay to do nothing... whilst i work like a slave and make enough to buy bread and water... then water is free...
