Yep, it's all Obama's fault because the industry has soooo much incentive to bring the price down.

Obama wants (really) $4.00 per gallon gas.

this is bad news! they always drop the prices before they right before they go way up!..

It is Obama's fault, since he put the stop to drilling in US. And also put stop on Keystone pipeline which would bring gas from Canada at much cheaper rate and would create jobs for 60,000 American workers. And instead started to import gas from Brazil and Venezuela at much higher rate. More barrels than we getting from Saudis at this time. And guess who owns those pipelines? Billionaire George Soros, Obama's No. 1 campaign contributor. So, George, with the election approaching, why don't we drop the few cents on gallon, so the people shut up for while, at least till November?!? Just say NO-BAMA 2012

Thank you so much Comrade Obama for allowing us to buy gas 5 whole cents cheaper than it was last week. If memory serves me correct, it was around $1.89 when he slid into office as the savior of the middle class. Now the former middle class are the welfare class. VOTE HIM OUT!!! While there is still a chance to save our country...

4:35 please get your info. from someone other than Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.

#1 plenty of drilling going on in the US. What do you think accounts for the better than average job growth in the Dakotas and TX right now?

#2 Even Transcanada states that Keystone would have a neglible impact on prices. And would actually slightly raise prices in the midwest.

#3 You've misrepresented the projected job numbers.

#4 Obama does not command anyone to import oil from any particular source. Those decisions are made by private industry. And your statements about Brazil and Venez. are 100% false.

#5 If your position was so strong you would not have to resort to lies and distortion to make your point. Try this; research the facts THEN formulate an opinion.

And to all those stating how gas was so much cheaper in 08, please recall those prices were caused by a GLOBAL economic crash. Not because of drilling policies.

the bottom line is the 1 and the epa don't want drilling in our country, off shore or anywhere else because it would make us independent. we not only need to drill now; we need to be able to build refineries to refine the oil and get rid of all the d--n regulations. we need to pollute the air and water and throw all the old ladies off the cliff.

you get my drift. get rid of the 1 in november. democrats don't forget, your day to vote is november 7th.

Are you people delusional? When has the president ever claimed "I lowered gas prices"? In fact, I think it was the GOP that claimed to have lowered gas prices in 2008 despite the fact that everyone with a brain knew it was due to the recession.

Gas prices are caused by the global market. Therefore it doesn't matter how much we drill over here. It has nothing to do with the President. In fact I think the last President who tried to change that was Carter. And look how well that turned out.

It is a simple matter of reading and checking the facts.
