The "Iron Man" statue, which bears a swastika on its chest, was brought back to Germany in 1938 after being found in Tibet by a team of SS members led by zoologist Ernst Schäfer. The base was a dead giveaway.Anyone who has ever broken a chunk off of a meteorite would recognize the mineral pattern. The article did not state that scientists had broken the base for testing, but I assume they did.Look for more research to be done on artifacts in museums and private collections. This is an amazing find, probably the first of many.
