The guy you see above, George Chevallier has been a dear friend of mine for many years now. George joined us years ago with open arms and has shared Eastern Shore history as a volunteer every Saturday morning on Salisbury News.
George was approached not long ago to write for someone else and they even offered to pay him for each article, George refused.
George is a man who is irreplaceable. He's a man loaded with wisdom and I want to take this moment to express my gratitude towards George for all that he has given us over all these years.
No, George isn't going anywhere. I just wanted to offer my thanks as well as give everyone else the opportunity to share their thoughts with George. He could have easily moved on to another opportunity but he instead chose to share his wealth of information with the biggest audience on the Shore.
They don't get any better than George Chevallier and you can bank on that.

I grew up going to Salisbury to shop monthly which was like a big treat. Reading George's articles have brought back so many good memories of my younger years when I was too young to know how many bad things are in this world. Grandmom loved driving to Salisbury to shop and we had so many good times. Thanks George for all your work. Just know you are appreciated.

Like all of the above, I want to also thank George for his wonderful memories of the earlier and better days. I know one thing for sure, if he left, my cup of coffee on Saturday morning's would never be as good as they are now while sipping and reading his posts.
Thank you George. I don't care what Jim Ireton says about you. Jim is always running George down, but Jim forgets George was very instrumental in helping him get elected just like he did for Louweasel.
We respect your decision George and truly enjoy reading your comments and viewing the pictures. Having grown up in the area even makes us more appreciative. However, you may want to consider syndication as some point, which would allow more people to enjoy your contribution.

4:33, Jim Ireton didn't forget. He just used people, like Louweasel. It worked for her. He figured it would work for him and it did. Now he is trashing everyone he duped who won't follow him. Mitchell does too.

Having spent a great deal of time sitting at Mr. Chevallier's dining room table hearing stories, I can atest, he truly is as good as it gets. My trips to Salisbury are not complete without a visit. He's an asset to this blog, and the community. And on top of that, he's pretty funny to boot. CCM
