Republican lawmakers want to know why a top federal official is on paid leave from his agency while earning a six-figure salary from a Fortune 500 company. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) are demanding answers from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. They said Bill McMahon is now working at JP Morgan in the Philippines. But he's still on ATF's payroll as a full-time employee in its office of professional responsibility. The lawmakers said it looks to them as though the agency is trying to let McMahon reach retirement eligibility while on extended leave. McMahon was deputy assistant director for field operations and oversaw parts of Operation Fast and Furious.

"...office of professional responsibility."
That's the BATF equivalent to a police department's Internal Affairs Bureau. He's got lots of dirt they don't want coming out, hence the golden parachute. Heads will roll...or not.
LAWMAKERS want to know? Are they asking that with a straight face? These back stabbing, lying, theiving, cheating, ripoff, self serving, pompous, self-important, slimeball pieces of crap (every single one, INCLUDING the ones YOU think are REALLY honest and sincere) made the rules and laws that allow each of them to cheat on taxes, exempt themselves from the very laws they impose on the rest of us, rake in hundreds of millions in bribes (they call them "campaign contributions" -- also with a straight face), do insider trading and make millions (while "we, the people" get .25% on a CD and LOSE in the stock market), give family members no-show jobs, sexually assualt and harrass their staff members (being exempt from prosecution), take their entire family and staff around the world (at OUR expense) on "fact-finding missions" (we call them "vacations"), swim nude in front of their staff and other acquaintances (and think THATS perfectly normal), -- how much time do you have?--- I have a BOOK of this stuff. The shock, alarm, incredulity and disgust is TOTALLY fake. Keep thinking its gonna change by "voting". LOL. Unless you plan to vote with an AK-47...
